What is the best time of the year to travel to Puglia?

For its warm climate Puglia can be visited all year around, but we usually suggest to avoid the most rigid months at the beginning of the year in order to get to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
In Spring, the greenery of the landscape and the rites linked to Easter represent a peculiar time of the year to visit, to appreciate nature, history but especially our culture.
Summertime, is the busiest time of the year because it’s tourist peak and there’re also lots of residents who come back home after a year of working outside Puglia: it’s the season of our patronal feasts, music festivals and shows all around as well as the best time of the year to enjoy life at sea.
In September we’re back to work in our fields with the harvest to produce world renowned wines such as Primitivo or Nero di Troia; in the middle of Autumn it also take place the main harvest of the year: olives; so in this period you’ll be able to see how we produce our extra virgin olive oil from south to north as most of us is an olive oil producer.
So which will be the period of the year you’ll be most interested in visiting us?

Monti Dauni

As the northern part of our region, Monti Dauni is the most rural of counties in Puglia, but also one of the two ancient ones along with the Magna Grecia region in the south.
This of course means that for who is passionate about the less touristic routes Monti Dauni can be the right place to spend time between culture, history and nature.

Troia

Troia is the place into the Monti Dauni where our touristic adventure began: here we’ve build up from nothing an “albergo diffuso” which can be translated into a sort of “spread hotel” meaning that the rooms are located in various spots all over the town to respects as much as possible the natural and cultural environment in which this hotel is located and at the same time offer the best travel experience possibile in terms of authenticity
